Strategic Account Manager

Summary:

As a Strategic Account Manager at Enercon Technologies, you are a Sales leader for managing our largest key accounts.  You will develop new opportunities for our company to design and manufacture for leading edge medical technology companies.  You will also create and execute a business development strategy as the primary point of contact for your accounts at a senior level.  Strategic Account Managers partner with Project Managers to support new product development and design transfer opportunities.  You are a natural leader who thrives in a group setting, and your energy inspires others around you!

Functions & Responsibilities

As a Strategic Account Manager, you will:

  • Identify, develop, and close new Design and Manufacturing opportunities with your top tier customers via frequent proactive sales and business development strategies.
  • Travel 30-40% of your time.
  • Develop new customer relationships.
  • Work proactively to identify and resolve customer issues that affect current or future business by working collaboratively with cross functional Teams.
  • Represent your Accounts within Enercon Technologies keeping their best interests in the forefront.
  • Lead our quoting and proposal efforts for new and ongoing opportunities.
  • Develop schedules to support ongoing customer activities.
  • Provide ongoing support to retain customer programs.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate responses to clients’ queries.
  • Report to internal management on account status.
  • Promote company capabilities/services that maximize customer success.
  • Coordinate with internal Project Managers to support new product development and design transfer opportunities.
  • Mentor Account Managers in the department.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction while maintaining or improving margins.

Job Requirements

  • You have experience selling complex solutions or technologies.
  • You have experience building long-term relationships with your customers and selling into direct and/or OEM accounts.

  • You are organized and adaptable, able to demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with shifting priorities.
  • You must have excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must be able to convey business and technical concepts to a diverse customer base and to internal teams in a clear and concise manner.
  • You must have the ability to motivate and inspire your teams.
  • You must have excellent independent work ethic and organizational skills.
  • You must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Project and resource allocations.
  • You must have good business judgment.
  • You must gain strong knowledge of Enercon Technologies Business Systems.
  • You must be a skilled negotiator.
  • You must have excellent multi-tasking skills.
  • You must have demonstrated success in maintaining and growing customer accounts.
  • You must be able to successfully work cross functionally with other Enercon Technologies teams to deliver best results to our customers.

The team you will be joining: 

  • Our sales team is made up of a range of several high impact roles who combine to serve our customers at the highest of levels.
  • Our sales roles include:
    • Account Executives – Responsible for targeting and winning new customer accounts.
    • Strategic Account Managers: Focused on building executive level relationships and winning new opportunities with our largest accounts to drive year-over-year growth.
    • Account Managers – Relationship managers who ensure the highest customer satisfaction and operational excellence for our customers.
    • Project Managers – Focused project leaders who manage all new Design Transfer and New Product Development projects.

Educational Requirements

Education and experience of a successful candidate:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree or a combination of equivalent experience and education, as well as a minimum of 8+ years prior consultative sales experience, preferably in a technical environment.
  • You’re an entrepreneurial problem solver.
  • Experience in the Medical device industry preferred.
